After a spectacular concert in Riga, world star André Rieu is returning to Latvia once again! On June 3rd, 2027, the Dutch violinist and conductor will gift his fans an unforgettable and magnificent musical show at “Xiaomi Arena” in Riga.
With more than 40 million albums sold and over 700,000 concertgoers attending more than 80 shows worldwide each year, André Rieu is one of the most successful live performers of our time. His tours regularly fill arenas from Chile to Abu Dhabi, and next summer he will once again bring his music to audiences in Latvia.
“Latvia holds a special place in my heart. The warmth and enthusiasm of your audiences are unforgettable. I can’t wait to return and share the joy of music with all of you!” says André Rieu.
In summer 2027, audiences can look forward to a romantic program featuring opera, musicals, film music, beloved classics, traditional songs, and, of course, joyful waltzes. André Rieu’s unique concerts captivate not only with exciting music, but also with his humorous and charismatic stage presence. Magnificent costumes, impressive stage designs, and dazzling light effects enchant audiences of all age groups.
Few artists have succeeded in breaking down the barriers between classical and popular music as successfully as André Rieu. Together with his 60-member Johann Strauss Orchestra, he combines music with surprises and humor, turning every concert into a grand celebration.
“Emotion is the key! If a piece of music touches my heart, I know it will touch yours as well,” says André Rieu.
He has made classical music accessible to millions of people around the world and transformed the waltz into an international sensation. His concerts are not only a musical experience, but also a visually spectacular event. André has his own costume atelier, four stage sets, and multiple instrument collections to support touring across continents. He and the world’s largest private orchestra travel together with their own fitness trainer, doctor, and even three chefs.
André Rieu was born in Maastricht, the Netherlands, into a musical family. His father was the conductor of the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, and André began playing the violin at the age of five. In 1978, he founded his first ensemble, the Maastricht Salon Orchestra, which in 1987 evolved into the Johann Strauss Orchestra – today the largest private orchestra in the world.
More than 22.5 million people follow André Rieu on social media, and his YouTube videos have been viewed over a billion times. As some fans say: “André Rieu is not just for one evening – he is for a lifetime!”
